Phil celebrates the underdog. Often creatures such as Eels are brought into her surface designs, sometimes Bees – not the kind of creatures associated with beauty or prestige. In this case, the Lobster is celebrated. Equally the Bowl is representative of the Lobster Pot that locals catch the Lobster in – now all required is the actual Lobster Feast.
