Graeme Hitchcock declares that he has an overactive mind, for which his love of art and in particular sculpting, is an outlet. ‘Recieved’ is an abstract piece that is equally as challenging as it is beautiful. Playing homage to artists like Terry Stringer or many greats who play with abstract figures and head positions, ‘Received’ is naturalistic with oversized hands and a head blended within the figure. Each is one of a kind, as there is always limited control over the flow of colour or colours, how they flow and merge. That is the beauty of pieces made by hand.
