The Kereru Bird is the Woodpigeon native to New Zealand. With its unique sound of an approaching helicopter, it’s the ability to misjudged the thickness of the branch it lands on and it’s the habit of being drunk on berries by the end of the day, this magnificent bird is a proud member of New Zealand’s native birds. The colours go from an intense aqua/green of the breast feathers to a silver/grey of the head, but it is its size and song that is the long-lasting impact.
