John Wolter is as much as a character in person as are his pieces. With his quirky sense of humour, he plays with metal in his studio based in paradise on the top of the South Island on the way to the Tasman. His workmanship is precise where desired, and left raw when expressive. The twinkle in his eye and his relaxed demeanour matches his take on life and his art - each one displaying a memory or his thought of the day!
