A lot of our artists were busy over lockdown, taking time to immerse themselves in their art, their studios and their families. Tanya, with her stunning studio set in the bush minutes away from Muriwai Beach, spent time completing a body of work for us, focusing on her architectural series and her play with mid-century design and colours.

With acrylic paint enhancing the depth of colour as well as the true surface, without glass, being in front of the observer, they are striking pieces that are very easy to live with. The negative detail, small space between art and frame, makes the board hover, almost floating, and gives each piece strong presence to draw the viewer in.
