Di Tocker's glass sculptures are impactful allegories of the emotive experiences of life expressed through both our relationships with others, as well as ourselves. in “Korero” we are met with a pair… or maybe a reflection… the figures sit in contemplation with one another, softly held by stunning great depth.
“I chose to use Kōrero as a title for this piece to celebrate the increasing everyday use of our national language in New Zealand. I am not a fluent speaker of Te Reo Māori, however, as a proud New Zealander I want to support and encourage non-Māori to embrace everyday use of this language that can belong to all New Zealanders”.
